The profile of our HD creasing rule is completely round, without any edges or marks, not even where it merges with the rule body. This form guarantees perfect working conditions, and the high level of strength of the creasing rule ensures a maximum tool life.
Usually no special technical requirements are placed on creasing rules.
Hardness of rule body: 340-380 HV
Strength (RM): 850-110N/mm
However, four points must be taken into account:
- Sufficient stability (depending on the material to be scored and the scoring depth).
- Often the precise rounding of the scoring profile is necessary to ensure that the material to be scored is not damaged.
- Precise tolerances of thickness and height are definitely of advantage.
- The following rule of thumb can be used for determining the height of creasing rule:
HR = Height of the cutting rule – Thickness of material/2
